Alphabet R  ©

In Nature, hawks are either perched or flying. No Hawk would set out on foot to walk anywhere.

The majuscule (capital) letter R is a picture of Heru, the HawkGod, walking.

Heru the HawkGod striding = majuscule letter R

The majuscule letter N is a picture of the striding legs of Heru. The majuscule letter R is a picture of the whole figure of Heru striding. Hawks in nature are rarely seen walking. Heru, the HawkGod, is nearly always shown walking. Even when Heru is depicted as a hawk on a perch, he is drawn with his legs in motion.

Heru was the symbol of wisdom-in-action. The hawk is a wisdom symbol because of its power of vision. The hawk is an action symbol because of its prowess in the hunt. The majuscule letter R represents Heru as the god of wisdom-in-action. The hawk is often a symbolic representation of the sun god or heaven because of its high soaring capabilities. In all of his forms and manifestations, Heru is an action figure. Heru is the all around god of action.

The words hero, arrow, harrow, heir, hour, and the -araoh in Pharaoh are all derived from the name of Heru.

A hawk on a perch and minuscule r The majuscule letters are heaven symbols. The minuscule letters are earth symbols. The minuscule letter r is a picture of a bird on a perch. The sound of letter r is derived from the sound of hawk's wings.

A hawk's power of vision and prowess as a hunter made hawks objects of reverance in early hunting societies. A hawk captures prey by its power of vision and action. A hawk that has captured prey makes an action sound. After capturing its prey, the hawk makes powerful wing thrusts to gain altitude carrying its load. The wing feathers of that hawk in action make an ur, ur, ur sound as it thrusts for altitude. The sound of letter r in our alphabet is derived from the ur sound of hawk's wings thrusting to gain altitude.

Heru, the hawk god, was the god of wisdom-in-action in the Pagan religion. The ur sound of Hawk's wings thrusting to gain altitude is the source of the name Heru. The ur sound of Hawk's wings thrusting to gain altitude is the source of the ur sound in the name Assur.

ADDENDUM #1

Thoth was the scribe of the gods. The Egyptian Book of the Dead says that it was Thoth "who first taught men to speak clearly." Scribes of the Thoth school didn't create languages. They inherited "wild" proto-languages from the past. They modified, organized, and codified those languages into the "modern" languages we speak today. Scribes of the Thoth school used the names and functions of gods to create words and give them meaning.

The -er syllable in our language is derived from the sound and imagery of hawk's wings thrusting to gain altitude. Adding the -er syllable to the action words hunt and gather transforms those actions into hunter and gatherer. The action word gather already had the action syllable -er added to it before it became gath-er-er. Adding the -or sound of hawk's wings to any act transforms that act into an actor. A very large number of action words in our language begin or end with the action sound of hawk's wings thrusting to gain altitude. In all of the Latin based "Romance" languages, action verbs generally end with the action syllables -ar, -er, or -ir derived from the sound of hawk's wings. In Spanish, the -ero at the end of ranchero is derived from the name of Heru.

Resurrect Isis. Her language is universal language. Her message is universal love. Her wisdom-in-action was in creating a universal WorldFamily of humankind. She didn't do that all by herself in a single generation. She had a lot of help over a lot of generations. She needs a lot of help now to complete the WorldCulture she started.
